Institute of Finance – registration for elective courses in the summer semester of the academic year 2023/2024, second-cycle full-time and part-time studies

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We kindly inform you that on:

On November 27-29, 2023, we open registration for elective courses in second-cycle, full-time and part-time studies in the following fields:

  • Financial Audit – full-time studies – no limit
  • Financial Audit – part-time studies:

– 1st year – maximum limit of 71 people per subject; entry criteria – order of applications.

  • Banking and Risk Management – full-time studies – no limit,
  • Banking and Risk Management – part-time studies – no limit,
  • Financial Analytics – part-time studies – no limit,
  • Finance and Accounting – full-time studies:

– 1st year – maximum limit of 65 people per subject; entry criteria – order of applications,

  • Finance and Accounting – part-time studies:

– 1st year – maximum limit of 105 people per subject; entry criteria – order of applications,

  • Financial Markets – full-time studies – no limit.

Information about the rules for enrolling to elective courses

Registration for elective subjects takes place via the USOSweb system.

The course is launched provided that the minimum number of Students is registered for it in accordance with a separate Rector’s Regulation (Regulation by the Rector of the Krakow University of Economics No. R.0211.15.2022 of February 28, 2022).

Registration is carried out in two rounds:

  • November 27, 2023 – 1st round, at 9.00 – 23.59
  • November 29, 2023 – 2nd round, at 9.00 – 23.59

according to the following rules:

In the case of enrolments with no limits:

  1. In the first round, all Students choose a subject.
  2. The Director of the Institute indicates the elective courses that will be launched.
  3. Students who chose subjects in the first round that did not get launched, and Students who did not choose any subject in the first round, take part in the second round.
  4. If the Student fails to select an elective course in the second round, he or she will be assigned to a course designated by the Director of the Institute.

In the case of enrolments with a maximum student limit introduced by the Director of the Institute:

  1. The Student chooses and signs up for selected subjects (according to the study program),
  2. Admissions to elective courses are based on the grade point average ranking. During enrolment to elective courses, priority is given to Students with a higher grade point average obtained in all semesters of study completed up to that moment.
  3. The grade point average is calculated in accordance with the principles set out in the Study Regulations; the grade point average is available in the USOSweb system before registration begins.
  4. The order of admission is determined on the basis of the grade point average as follows:

Group I – grade point average higher than or equal to 4.0,

Group II – grade point average lower than 4.0.

  1. Students register on the specified date, according to the following rules:
  • November 27, 2023 – registration of Students from group I, at 9.00 – 23.59,
  • November 29, 2023 – registration of Students from groups I and II, at 9.00 – 23.59.

Failure by the Student to select an elective course within the specified deadlines results in the student being assigned to a course designated by the Director of the Institute.

The Director of the Institute makes the decision to launch elective courses in specific fields of study based on the list of enrolled Students, taking into account the above provisions.
