Information on the Rules for Registration for Elective Courses

Registration for elective courses takes place via the USOSweb system.

A course will be launched if the minimum number of students required by a separate Rector’s Regulation is met (Rector’s Regulation No. R.0211.67.2025 of 17 December 2025).

In the case of registrations without limits:

  • In the first round, all students select an elective course.
  • The Director of the Institute determines which courses will be launched.
  • The second round includes students who selected courses that were not launched in the first round and students who did not make any selection in the first round.
  • Failure to select an elective course in the second round results in assignment to a course designated by the Director of the Institute.

Registration rounds:

  • 23 March 2026 – first round (9:00–23:59)
  • 25 March 2026 – second round (9:00–23:59)

In the case of registrations with a maximum student limit set by the Director of the Institute:

  • Students select and register for elective courses according to their study programme.
  • Admission is based on the ranking of the grade point average (GPA). Priority is given to students with higher GPA calculated from all previously completed semesters.
  • GPA is calculated according to the Study Regulations and is available in USOSweb before registration begins.

Admission priority groups:

  • Group I – GPA ≥ 4.5
  • Group II – GPA from 4.0 to 4.49
  • Group III – GPA from 3.5 to 3.99
  • Group IV – GPA < 3.49

Registration schedule:

  • 23 March 2026 – Group I
  • 25 March 2026 – Groups I and II
  • 27 March 2026 – Groups I, II, III
  • 31 March 2026 – Groups I, II, III, IV

Failure to select an elective course within the specified deadlines results in assignment to a course designated by the Director of the Institute.

The Director decides which elective courses will be launched based on the number of registered students and the above rules.
